Trying Not To Be Obvious
Trying
not to be obvious
Pushing
in the wrong direction
Loosing
my mind
I think I did
I think I can
I think
therefore
I am
in trouble
again!
Her Two Cents on Trying Not To Be Obvious
I love this quirky little piece from our Portland poet! The “I think I did I think I can…” bit reminds me of The Little Engine That Could story – except in this case it appears the thinking part is getting our friend in a bit of trouble. Let’s hope the train doesn’t run off the tracks – perhaps retiring to the lounge car for a beverage would be a good way to slow down!
Gentle Readers: While hot-blooded passion can certainly land us behind bars (they don’t call ’em crimes of the heart for nothing!) our Portland poet illustrates that thinking can also cause us problems. Has an excessive amount of thinking or overactive imagination ever caused you heartache?
