I found your shoe by Lynaugh’s.
I searched for you to no avail.
Are You My Cinderella?
If this shoe belongs to you please let me know.

Lovelorn Poets her two cents iconHer Two Cents from the Missed Connections Chief Bottle-Finder:
The Cinderella story is a prime example of the thought that someone, somewhere, is our perfect match. That after traveling from one set of feet to the next to the next to the next, that finally there will be a fit that makes time stand still and our hearts swoon. Is finding true love as simple (or as complex) as finding the perfect pair of shoes? It’s Friday, so there’s no better time than now to get out there and start figuring it all out.

Missed Connections in Lexington, KY: You Were On A Bike

You Were On A Bike
Missed Connections in Lexington

I was just thinking about how we spoke briefly at the crosswalk this afternoon across from Billy’s BBQ, after the fair.
You bought something for a dollar.
It was very nice have a friendly conversation with a stranger, so thank you for that. :)
I hope you enjoyed your ride home.
I wish we could have talked a little longer and didn’t occur to me until you were gone that I might have invited you to walk with me.
Anyhow, it was nice to meet you, maybe we’ll see each other again in the neighborhood.

Lexington, KY is our missed connections featured location today. Like many of the medium-sized feeds from college towns, the flashes of creativity or thoughtfulness tend to be slightly more frequent. So why did I like this message? Two reasons: first, the reminder that it can be nice to have a friendly conversation with a new person (Stranger Danger is smart for small children but we can selectively apply it as adults) and second, I have a “Let’s Get Porked At Billy’s BBQ” t-shirt. It’s a real conversation starter.

Have not found you yet!
I have been close a few times,
but yet they were not you!
One day though, our paths will cross!!

I occasionally edit a message before publishing – generally to correct a spelling or grammar typo or remove a personal identifier. In this case, I was sooooo very tempted to cut back our poet’s exclamation points, but I refrained as I thought it better to stay true to their original intention.  Perhaps our poet is hoping to shock the universe into action with their excited enthusiasm. :-)
