I Do Miss You
Missed Connections in Palm Springs

Words are lost unless they are received by the person intended to hear them:
find a way to tell me.

Palm Springs is our spotlight location today. This feed is a quiet one but every once in awhile a message comes through that has creative potential. Matching our poet’s request of “…find a way to tell me” with Robbert van der Steeg’s image of being embraced by words felt like a  perfect fit. To quote Robbert’s Flickr page, “Sometimes words can be overwhelming…Words can appreciate what you are… Words can care for you…”

While this might read more like a laundry list than a poem, I decided to use it for our poem of the day simply because it can serve as a reminder to all of us about appreciation. When was the last time you wrote down a list of all the things you value about the special person in your life? Once you do that you might be surprised by how you feel!

A Song Came On The Radio
Missed Connections in Palm Springs

A song came on the radio that reminded me of you today.
Several great memories flooded my mind and made me wonder how you are doing.
I wanted to let you know that someone was thinking of you and your amazing kisses.
I hope all is well.
Love you.

T
oday we’re featuring three messages from Palm Springs, California. This is the very first time we’ve featured this particular feed – it’s been included in my Google RSS reader for several months but the volume is typically slow. I liked this message as we all have songs that remind us of of particular times, places, or people – be it for good or not-so-good memories. Pick a person, place, or thing – what song takes you down memory lane?
